I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER:)
BUT ~ I never knew until recently that not all peanut-butters are the same...THE SECRET IS TO FIND THE ONE which says: NO HYDROGENATED OILS....;WHY?]
BECAUSE ~ you want to live a long life(hopefully) and if you love peanut butter as much as I, if you eat the one with hydrogenated oils ~~YOUR ARTERIES WILL CLOG!!! Do you need another reason???
WHY MUCHO VITAMIN C: I WILL BE FRANK AS I CAN ~ as a non-doctor: THE recommended daily dosage IS A JOKE!!!
When I was 35, I was naive to what the correct amount was ~ so I read Dr. Linus Pauling: I found that the dosage should be between 2-3 GRAMS per day [[one gram=1000 milligrams]]
By 35, I was averaging at least four colds per year ~ many of which deteriorated into the dreaded SINUS INFECTION...It was disgusting...SO?...so I took Pauling's advice, and started taking at least five 500 mg. per day....FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS ~ I was 'lucky' if I had one cold per year but even that NEVER LED TO ANOTHER SINUS INFECTION-EVER AGAIN!!!
I am living proof that Dr. Pauling had the right slant on this all-important vitamin. [[Ideally, you should take it in the morning (500 mg.) and one after each meal and the 5th before bedtime.]]
NOTE: If you do feel a cold coming on ~ DOUBLE THE DOSAGE WHILE YOUR BODY FIGHTS OFF THE ""BRUTE"" which, of course, replenishes the all-important IMMUNE SYSTEM.
OIL OF OREGANO: This is so so important...Not one, but two friends of mine were "cured" of bronchitis by dispensing this to themselves (usually in tea)...so I knew it had great properties; HOWEVER, as a pure preventitive, put two drops under the tongue TWICE PER WEEK and it will eliminate the bad bacteria that accumulates in the digestive tract i.e. ~ act as a preventative from even getting those ugly colds, etc., to begin with ~ as in ~ "An ounce of prevention..."

IN A PERFECT WORLD....We all would be YANKEE fans---but this """ain't""" a perfect world. The Yankees drink lemon in their water....You do NOT have to be a YANKEE fan to realize that drinking lemon-water is VERY VERY GOOD FOR YOU(LIKE 8 GLASSES A DAY~especially after a forty-minute work-out of your choice--daily!!! This is one good way to stay positive..oh-and try to avoid the FLORIDE. This is a poison and NO GOOD FOR YOU-NOT-NO-HOW-NOT-NO-WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Selected statements from above: (1) By detoxifying cholesterol...Antioxidants are thought to thwart heart disease by preventing oxidation. In new Japanese research, oxidized LDL was four times higher in heart attack victims than in healthy people...[and] 400 to 800 IU of vitamin E daily reduced LDL oxidation in normal people up to 40%.
(2)By fighting inflamation: Taking 800 IU of vitamin E daily cut inflamation in half in diabetis at high risk of heart disease, according to recent research in New Zealand.
(3) By improving vascular function: Daily mega doses of vitamin C (500 to 1000 mg) or E (300 to 1200 IU)improves such vascular function, says a new Harvard review.
